European Voluntary ServiceEuropean Voluntary Service is a part of non-formal education programme Youth in Action. EVS offers young people the opportunity to volunteer in another country, for a period of two to twelve months. A wide variety of placements can be found in the social, cultural, environmental and sports sector. Most placements last from six to twelve months and priority is given to longer term placements Shorter placements of two weeks to twelve months are available to young people with fewer opportunities.
INEX has been involved in EVS since 2000, during these 9 years we have sent more than 120 Czech volunteers to EVS abroad and became Czech biggest sending organisation.
In 2006 INEX become a hosting organization as well and we are hosting our 7th volunteer now. Description of our hosting project you can find here. Next period possible for volunteering in our office is from February/March 2012 for one year. We will apply for the 1st November 2011 deadline.
