INEX Branch in Bílé Karpaty
The branch Bílé Karpaty is situated in the South Moravian region Strážnicko, in the village called Tvarožná Lhota. It is focused at the rural development and the education concerning the sustainable life.
The branch involves the local youth and the foreign volunteers in the projects and every year runs two or three workcamps.
At the same time, it takes care of two natural localities. It is the former sheep-fold under the Travičná view-tower, nowadays it has became an extensive pasturage and famous destination for trips for children and tourists. Extensive pasturage of sheeps and horses, small ponds for amphibians, museum of bordered constructions of former Kopanice village etc can be found here.
The centre is open from May till August Tu - Su, 10:00 - 17:00 (or on demand)
Events of INEX Bílé Karpaty in 2009

4.4. Opening of the fountains - the first weekend event at the Vojšice meadows, the beginning is at 13:00 in front of the InClub, sausage grilling at the sheep-fold
18.4. Oskoruše (Service Tree - Sorbus Domestica) celebration - from 13:00 degustation of Oskoruše in all forms, lectures about oskoruše and others precious trees of the Slovácko region, fair and cultural programme
26.4. Around Strážnicko - bicycle trip on the occasion of the Day of Earth from Strážnice in the surroundings, appointment at 9:00 in front of the museum, enjoying the nature, view-tower, museums, sights of interest
17.4. - 2.5. Herbs of Karpaty - International voluntary project of the work at the sheep-fold, collection of herbs in the Karpaty meadows for the herb infusions produced by the branch
17.5. - Opening of the view-tower and of the chalet Travičná in Tvarožná Lhota, from 14:00, with cultural programme, snack and country music
19.7. - 3.8. Etnosalaš (Etno Sheep-fold) - International voluntary project - preparation of the activities and games for children and handcraft day at the Sheep-fold on 2.8.2009 from 10:00, collecion of summer herbs
6.9. - 21.9. - Oskorušky from A to Z - International voluntary project, event focused at the picking of Oskoruše fruits (Service Tree - Sorbus Domestica) and their further use, promotion of Oskoruše at the Strážnice vintage and Oskorušobraní
19.9. - 20.9. both days from 10:00 "Oskorušobraní" at the Travičná Sheep-fold in Tvarožná Lhota, traditional products, unconventional competitions with Oskoruše (Service Tree - Sorbus Domestica), handcraft fair, typical snack, horse riding, country music
24.10. Closing of the Travičná Sheep-fold - the last weekend event with tree planting
